I was a girl scout growing up, my mother was my troop leader so it seemed a natural that I would be one for my daughter.

I share many of the same complaints you do, although adding to mine is a local council that is poorly run. I can't say I've made friends with other leaders, however, the moms in my troop have formed our own social circle – we even have regular happy hours. And the girls themselves love it. I know this is our last year as a troop, although we have talked about staying connected and continuing to just do service projects together.
