really? It sounds like it did not cook through from what you are describing. Did you add the right amount of flour? This microwave cake thing is very tricky depending on the power of your microwave. In fact, I tried a few different approaches to get to this one recipe here. The first one I made was awful, dry and like a hockey puck. This recipe has turned out for me twice. It is a little gooey in the middle but it almost is like a lava cake like that. I would try cooking it longer or same time but at a higher power like 8 or 9? Versus 6. My microwave overcooked my first few before I netted out on this one. Every oven is different. Some recipes online call for cooking 3-3 1/2 minutes? Try longer. I will make it again and if I notice and deviation from what I have up here now, I will post. Thank you so much for the feedback! Sorry it got weird on you.

I guess i could call it "jelly-ish" it reminded me of the consistency of thanksgiving cranberry sauce. I followed all of the directions closely, and i did use some of the healthier options that you provided, but for some reason it just tasted wrong. I used honey, applesauce, margarine, and vanilla extract as the healthy subs. I tried a peanut butter mug cake before and it was a much better consistency and taste. Any Tips to what I might have done wrong?
