Labor day is tomorrow! A day of NON labor underpinned with picnics, boating, and outdoor fun with friends and family. This year I am committed to not laboring. I usually end up in the yard gardening, or doing some giant craft project. Other than a little bit of baking, I am chilling-and Starbucks is going to help me out.
We have planned a fun picnic with our family lakeside. It first starts with the grill, with easy burgers made from our hubby, complete with all the fixings. Hubster adds just a little bit of seasonings when making the patties, and the flavors enhance the meat versus overpower it. Even my finicky Italian parents who like simpler fare really enjoyed these burgers. We serve them up with chips and fruit with an array of chilled Starbucks Refreshers Energy drinks. They have really cool flavors like cherry limeade, and surprisingly were not too overly sweet. They are nice addition to the party beverage options. They were a big hit. The key is EASY. The less time we spend making things, the more time we have visiting and relaxing.
My Mama and Papa tooling around on our boat.
After burgers we like to have little bit of boat fun, while we serve up dessert. That consists of our famous Sunburst Lattice Peach Pie with chilled coffee drinks in a portable basket for mobility-perfect for a hot summer day.
Below is a link to my famous pie recipe, as well as some YouTube videos on how to make the pie. And I also am sharing out super easy burger recipe. As far as the Starbucks yummies, I saw Walmart having a sale on them for this weekend! SO get shopping!
Easy Burgers

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground chuck
1-2 Tbsp. Worcestershire
¼ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. Sea salt
½ tsp. fresh ground pepper
Directions:

Mix everything well with your hands in a large bowl, and shape into 4” patties. Make a large indentation at the center. Heat the grill for about 5 minutes until nice and hot. Grill the burgers  over indirect heat for about 4 minutes on each side. You need to check their done ness and check with a thermometer. Medium rare is 140˚, but make sure to know what your guests prefer. Serve with buns, tomato slices, onion slices, avocado slices, provolone cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
Serve with chips and some fruit salad. Here are a few links to some of our favorite fruit sides.
And for dessert:

And here is our Sunburst Lattice Peach Pie:

Please note: Starbucks Doubleshot, Refreshers and Frappuccinos were provided by Starbucks. All thoughts, opinions and obsessions about Starbucks coffee are completely my own. Thanks! #starbucks #caffeveronablend @starbucks
